Working from a brand new water-front office in Amsterdam, our young, ambitious team is committed to giving freelancers full commercial control and assist them with all their financial needs. By joining our frontend team, you will play a key role in delivering new features (and maintaining the current ones) to our user base, so that they can do their bookkeeping without any friction. You will proactively keep the web application in a good condition, by staying up to date, adding tests, and assertively optimizing wherever the opportunity presents itself (we’re a fan of the boy-scout rule!). We look for people who love coding and problem-solving and are ready to take full ownership of their work. In this role, you are welcome to come up with creative solutions, propose new ideas and be never satisfied with the status-quo!
As a frontend developer you will:
- Building new features in our (Angular 14) web application, but also maintaining and refactoring, so it is reliable, performant, scalable, and good looking (we are the prettiest bookkeeping tool after all!).
- Further develop our marketing website (in Gatsby) by implementing new components.
- Work together with backend developers, UI/UX designers, and peers to deliver well-architected, high-quality solutions.
- Implement new features in our web application.
- Align features and UX/UI with our (recently refreshed and re-released React Native) mobile app.
- Manage schedules, create presentations and updates for the team (for the rest of the team, we like to share!), and maintain your own sprint tickets.
- Perform code reviews.
Requirements
What we are looking for- 2+ years of experience
- Experience in working with a team of UX/UI-designers, engineers, support, and such
- Experience with a framework like Angular, React, Vue (and/or willing to learn Angular)
- Good understanding of frontend application structures
- Experience with frontend testing techniques
- Experience with CI/CD tools
- Communicative and collaborative spirit
- Have excellent English verbal and written skills
- Can work from our Amsterdam office
