As a frontend developer, you’ll be responsible for creating beautiful digital frontend experiences. Your technical and creative input will play a vital role in delivering innovative products to our clients.
You’ll work in a structured environment with dynamic data from a CMS, while setting up a consistent layout that focuses on a stable user experience. You’ll join our world-class, highly motivated team to deliver design that is on point and SEO-friendly.
Responsibilities
- Code, test, debug, document, and maintain software applications using established coding standards and methodologies
- Maintain a solid understanding of HTML, CSS (with SASS) and Javascript (React, Node, Next.JS) while also staying up to date with new techniques. Think about new properties, structural enhancements, performance optimizations or new APIs
- Know how to work with different data structures from any API or headless CMS
- Work closely with our design team to create a working product
- Use tools like Lighthouse to measure performance and follow (Google) guidelines
- Be comfortable around local environments like vagrant within the DTAP workflow
- Deliver high-quality work to our clients by listening to their challenges and advising them in the process
- Provide technical and conceptual input towards your interdisciplinary (developers, designers, producers) team and the client throughout the development process
- Engage with professionals through conferences, workshops, online blogs, newsletters, and other interactions to stay up to date with best and emerging practices
- Create accurate estimations by analyzing functionalities, risks, and possibilities
- Be compliant with the professional processes in place
Requirements
- At least 5 to 8 years experience as a frontend developer
- Understanding of source control (Experience with GIT and GitHub is a plus)
- Experience with React is a must (Experience with Next.JS is a plus)
- Basic Linux knowledge is a must (Ubuntu as a base is a plus)
- Strong understanding of HTML / CSS (SCSS experience is a plus)
- Thorough knowledge of the browser DOM and basic HTTP request / response lifecycle.
- Working knowledge of SEO best practices
- Working knowledge of the latest UI trends, techniques, and technologies
- You are a team player, have good communication skills, and know how to analyze and prioritize
- Fluent in English, both spoken and written; Dutch would be considered as a plus
