We are currently looking for a Logistics Director to join our global team and help build and execute all logistics operations globally. You could be based in any of our offices in NY, Athens, Istanbul, Barcelona, London or Rotterdam.

At the heart of what we do is operations, and it is a core area of the business. The role’s main focus will be on ensuring smooth logistics between our supply chain and operations teams and driving continuous improvement and optimization with our third-party logistics partners.

Your primary responsibilities include working hand in hand with our local city operations teams and warehouse/transportation vendors, and improving processes on storage, inbound/outbound orders from warehouses, and planning.

What you will focus on:

  • Finding the proper 3PL partners and establishing warehousing and white glove services (last mile delivery + installation) before the new market launches.
  • Finding proper 3PL partners (mainly sea freight and road freight) in global transportation from our supply regions (Asia, Turkey, Lithuania and LATAM) to our 4 RDC (San Francisco, New York, Rotterdam, and Istanbul) and from RDC to our 27 city warehouses in US and EMEA.
  • Build constructive relationships with our existing 3PL partners (warehouse and transportation) and prepare improvement plans in commercial terms and service levels.
  • Run tenders and negotiate warehouse and transportation contracts.
  • Optimize storage and inventory control to create action plans.
  • Do Gemba Walks to the warehouses to check, control, and improve the operations.
  • Monitor and analyze the following:
    • Monthly invoices
    • Monthly SLA with 3PL companies
    • Monthly KPI tracking
    • Ability to oversee operations budgeting, reporting, planning, and auditing
  • Manage BG’s approved WMS (Logiwa) implementation to our warehouses.
  • Manage an international team of 10+ persons.
  • Support SC in sourcing new suppliers.
  • Help SC and Finance roll out ERP implementation (MS Navision) across all warehouses.
  • Review the network design initiative and revise it if it is needed.
  • Support SC finance team with payments and invoice data.
  • Developing SOPs to train new and existing team members.
  • Managing timelines to meet deadline needs.
  • Support Furniture Sales workstream, manage day-to-day operations for several B2C channels.


What we are looking for:

  • 10+ years of progressive work experience in the area of international warehouse amp; transport management,
  • Transport, warehouse and white glove services (last mile delivery + installation) contract knowledge;
  • Deep understanding of WMS technologies and ERP systems;
  • Analytical / numbers savvy;
  • Ability to travel to other cities for in person auditing 30% of the time;
  • Cross functional team collaboration;
  • Great at multitasking and managing competing priorities;
  • Analytical thinker and results-oriented;
  • Graduate from a top-tier university with a degree in business, supply chain or engineering.
