We are currently looking for a Senior Warehouse Manager to join our team and help build and execute warehouse operations for EMEA city warehouses. This role could be based in Athens, London, Rotterdam, Madrid, Barcelona or Istanbul. The Senior Warehouse Manager's main focus will be on ensuring smooth logistics between our supply chain and operations teams and driving continuous improvement and optimization with our third-party logistics partners.

Your primary responsibilities include working hand in hand with our local city operations teams and warehouse vendors and improving processes on storage, inbound/outbound orders from warehouses, and planning.

What you will focus on:

  • Will be responsible for defined geography which includes around 5 city warehouses and 1 RDC (regional distribution center).
  • Searching the potential 3PL (Third Party Logistics) companies for warehousing and white glove (last-mile delivery from the warehouse to apartments and installation) services in the responsible geography for newly launched markets or in existing markets for replacement.
  • Negotiate the commercial (pricing, payment term...etc.) and operational terms (SLA and KPI’s) and finalize the contract.
  • Manage the implementation of the services in line with Blueground’s SOP and IT systems.
  • Monitor, report, and manage the monthly performance of the 3PL services in line with Blueground’s SOP and SLA/KPIs mentioned in the contract.
  • Identify the potential risks (operational and financial), report them to relevant units, and take corrective actions proactively.
  • Build constructive relationships with our existing 3PL partners.
  • Create action plans to optimize storage area and improve productivity in handling and white-glove services.
  • Collect and control the monthly invoices of the 3PL services in the region. Support the Supply Chain Finance team with payments and invoice data.
  • Developing SOPs to train new and existing team members.
  • Have regular and structured communication with Blueground’s local teams in the cities to understand their expectation and feedback regarding the warehousing and white-glove services.
  • Support centralized Supply Chain team for the following topics.
    • Master Data Management
    • Inventory accuracy (cycles counts, year-end counting
    • Intra market transfers from RDC to city warehouses or city warehouse to a city warehouse
    • Roll-out ERP implementation (MS Navision) across all warehouses in the region
    • Prepare existing and new reporting regarding warehousing and white-glove services
  • Ability to oversee operations budgeting, reporting, planning, and auditing
  • Managing timelines to meet deadline needs

What we are looking for:

  • BSc in Business, Supply Chain, or Engineering from a top-tier University
  • 5+ years of progressive work experience in warehouse management and 10+ years of business life experience
  • Warehouse and white-glove services (last-mile delivery + installation) operational and contract knowledge
  • Deep understanding of WMS technologies and ERP systems
  • Numbers-savvy and analytical mindset
  • Work from anywhere and ability to travel to other cities for in-person auditing 30% of the time
