Creative Frontend Developer

We are looking for a Creative Frontend Developer to join our multi-solution teams. Do you have experience working in a fast-paced project development environment, preferably in the world of e-commerce? You are a critical thinker and not afraid to challenge your colleagues. You are following the jointly established goals together with your team and enjoy loads of space to grow and develop yourself. At Youwe you will be a part of an enthusiastic development team and you will be involved in writing high-quality code.

• Develop frontend-based applications while leveraging best practices and standards;
• Translate visuals to standalone components which can be incorporated in a Design System;
• Be a part of a multi-disciplinairy creative team with both Designers and Frontend Developers;
• Focus on the client and their business goals by taking part in discussions about roadmaps and issues;
• Work together with other developers from different disciplines in Customer/Scrum teams;
• Take active part in to meet-ups, events and similar initiatives, all in view of contributing back to the open-source community;
• Improve our projects by raising our quality to the next level.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of relevant work experience;
• Expertise in developing high end frontend solutions;
• Experience with building Design Systems with Storybook, Zeroheight or similar tools;
• Experience in HTML and CSS (SASS/LESS);
• Complete understanding about mobile first and responsive design concepts;
• Experience with Bootstrap an extra plus;
• Tendency to follow best practices by developing component based and ensuring quality of the code by using unit tests;
• Sense of responsibility for your tasks and ability to keep focus on growth and developing;
• Creativity and a strong sense of responsibility and love for team work;
• Confidence in English and preferably Dutch language as well.
