Job Description

As the Global Quality Director you will be responsible for all product quality and continuous improvement efforts within the HITEC organisation. You will focus on manufacturing quality related activities and you will be the head of the worldwide quality organization (including the Global Customer Support department). You will lead a young and ambitious team of five employees and you will report directly to the Managing Director.

Main activities

  • You are responsible for all product quality improvements.
  • You use quality tools/techniques such as DFMEA, PFMEA and problem-solving methods on a regular basis, additionally you coach and training employees to use these methods.
  • You are an enthusiastic ambassador for implementing continuous improvement within HITEC.
  • Developing and implementing quality assurance and control methods, ensuring that the quality of products and processes are maintained.
  • You prepare reports on the company’s quality performance, including areas for improvement.
  • Liaising with both suppliers and customers to ensure all requirements are met.
  • You promote quality and customer requirement awareness throughout the organisation.
  • You will lead the QESH department in Almelo (five employees) and quality employees in other regional offices with a maximum of 10 % international travel.
  • Working closely with the regions to ensure effective communications around all appropriate matter.

Requirements

  • University degree in engineering discipline (Bachelor).
  • Advanced product quality planning (APQP) procedure knowledge.
  • Experience in systems for parts classification and product warranty legislation and requirements.
  • Experience in rotating equipment.
  • Having a deep understanding of TS16949 and ISO 9001, along with continuous improvement techniques, such as 8D, Six Sigma (ideally green or black belt holder) and 5S.
  • VDA 6.3 auditing knowledge (advantageous).
  • Knowing Supplier Management, including Contractual Quality Framework, such as 8D requirements, MSA's and PPAP, as well as systematic supplier classification and auditing procedures.
