We are hiring a Senior Account Executive to join our team.

SUMMARY: This is a strategic, senior level sales position based in Amsterdam (NL). A successful candidate will execute their sales strategy along two distinct channels: responsible for growing and renewing contracts and servicing existing accounts as well as prospecting for new business in pre-determined geographic markets. Growth targets are assigned on the whole book of business. This role is a very entrepreneurial position with freedom and leeway to refine the approach and pathway to success.

Our office is located in the center of Amsterdam with excellent transport links via tram, metro, and Centraal Station (and of course bicycle). The office is an option for work, and both internal and external meetings and we assist with a home office setup as well.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned to meet sales objectives.

  • Targets opportunities within the current customer base and sets in-person and virtual (ie phone, Zoom, MSFT Teams) appointments with current clients to establish needs and to cross sell new products.
  • Maintains a specified renewal rate with assigned current clients.
  • Maintains a minimum number of new prospect appointments/demonstrations weekly.
  • Meets or exceeds monthly revenue and growth targets through price increases, cross selling, and new client acquisition.
  • Assists the marketing team to develop and evolve brand development, target lists, and lead generation.
  • Maintains up-to-date awareness of company products and industry trends.
  • Secures and processes orders for current and new clients.
  • Follows all reporting guidelines and uses CRM for all relevant client and prospect interaction for customer renewal information and pipeline management.
  • Utilises a consultative approach and adds value to customers and prospects through knowledge and expertise.
  • Travels when warranted to attend conferences, build relationships with current client base, and provide presentations to potential customers as deemed appropriate.
  • Travel level moderate: approximately 10-20% (variable due to industry cycles and events, local market public health restrictions and customer/prospect preferences!)

KNOWLEDGE amp; SKILLS:

  • Demonstrated effective prospecting, negotiation and closing techniques
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Tax Notes is provided globally in English, additional language skills are a plus
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, especially the ability to establish and maintain rapport
  • Strong analysis and judgment skills
  • Highly enthusiastic and curious
  • Good computer skills, including proficiency with MS Windows applications
  • Works well in a team environment
  • Superior customer-focused attitude


Requirements


  • BA/BS degree or equivalent in experience required
  • 4+ years of proven sales skills with a history of exceeding sales quota in a SAAS model, inside or outside, facilitating high-level demos, and understanding when to bring in ‘the experts’
  • Experience selling information or software services into the EU legal or tax markets preferred.
  • Experience with MS Teams, Zoom, or similar screen sharing/demo tools as well as clud based CRM
  • Proven ability to prioritise accounts and manage multiple projects and activities to meet business objectives and deadlines.
