Duties amp; Role:
The contracted individuals must be able to perform effectively and efficiently with minimal supervision. The deliverables that are worked on as part of this work are:
- A complete survey findings report for NATO Enterprise PKI technology and its use including but not limited to the following items per NATO Enterprise Entity in scope:
- Identification of PKI service-enabling technology currently deployed including but not limited to Certification Authorities and Registration Authorities.
- Identification of the software and hardware products used for PKI service-enabling technology including brands and models of smartcards.
- Identification of PKI services including certificate management, registration, certification revocation and certification validation (HTTP, OCSP) including CRL repositories and trust model management.
- Identification of certificate intended usage (e.g., encryption, authentication, digital signatures).
- Identification of the number of certificates issued per certificate intended usage.
- Identification of the inventory of the system and application services, users and devices that are issued certificates including the certificate intended usage.
- Identification of certificate profiles deployed.
- Identification of future requirements including but not limited to PKI services, certificate intended usage, certificate profile and interoperability.
- Related PKI information captured from current and future FMN spiral descriptions, as well as a comparison of this information to the survey findings.
Requirements
Skill, Knowledge amp; Experience:
- The candidate must have a currently active NATO SECRET security clearance.
- The candidates must be able to demonstrate experience with PKI and cryptographic concepts, technologies and products.
- The candidates must have a proactive attitude with respect to stakeholder engagement, as the work requires substantial interactions with stakeholders across the NATO Enterprise in order to capture the required survey information. For a number of the NATO entities within scope, the most relevant stakeholder may still need to be identified within the entity by the candidates when the survey work starts.
- The candidates must have specific experience with performing technology surveys.
- The candidates must be able to demonstrate experience in drafting survey reports.
- Detailed understanding of NATO PKI, NATO CIS security and/or NATO security services use across NATO Enterprise is highly desirable.
