Marketing Technology Python Developer

albelli and Photobox Group have merged to create a leading player in the online European Photo Product and Gifting market. Together we now serve a pan-European customer base of over 7 million customers, supported by our 1,150 colleagues across the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, France, Spain, Germany, Norway and Sweden. We are focussed on inspiring our customers to easily make beautiful photo products and bring their special moments to life.

We are looking for a Python developer with a background in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Operational Research or any other quantitative field. The Marketing Technology team is passionate about data, automation, APIs, statistical models, technology and innovation. Working with an Agile mindset we strive to continuously deliver value for the business and enable the marketing teams to become best-in-class within their fields. We are responsible for building capabilities which can solve a variation of both easy and complex use cases by handling big amounts of data and being able to communicate with other platforms via APIs or web services. For this we partner with the Marketing, Data and Analytics teams to understand the challenges we face and co-create solutions.

Your role will involve the following responsibilities:

  • Interaction with APIs to both download data from and send data to third parties;
  • Finding innovative ways to get and stitch together data from different sources;
  • Algorithm development for automation of tasks and processes;
  • Collaborate with team members from a wide range of different backgrounds to understand the challenges we face and develop solutions together.

Requirements

Requirements:

  • University degree or equivalent experience with a strong analytical focus (e.g. Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Operational Research, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science);
  • Strong knowledge of Python;
  • Experience working with APIs, in particular Google Ads/Adwords API;
  • Proficient knowledge of SQL;
  • Fast-moving, motivated by growth and high-performance, strong sense of ownership;
  • Fluent in English;

Considered as a plus:

  • AWS or other cloud providers;
  • Deployment using Docker;
  • Version control using Git;
  • Snowflake or any other relational database;

We offer a hybrid working environment and this role is based out of our Amsterdam office, located in the centre of city next to Central Station with stunning views of the harbour, and the numerous canals running through the old city.
