What is the project about?

Reporting to Senior Finance Analytics Manager, the Business Analyst will assist in finance and operational planning activities across Network and Share Operations. This role sits within a strategy function, so will require not only the navigation of the financial business processes, but will also need to assist in delivering efficiencies in the current way of working. Acting as a conduit between key business stakeholders and Technology workstreams, the BA will evaluate proposed business and technology solutions and ensure they meet the requirements. The ideal candidate will bring a range of experience in order to challenge the status quo, acting as an internal consultant, and always looking for improvements to processes, communication channels and BAU activities.

This role will be responsible for managing day to day activities including budget management, purchase order management, invoicing disputes, and working with key stakeholders in ensuring business processes and requirements are met and support is provided where needed. This is Global role with multi country responsibility hence operating consistent process and implementation model is key to success.

Responsible for delivering business analyses, strategic assessments, and deliverables for projects within Network and Shared Operations. The Business Analyst role is dedicated to ensure continuous operational performance by creating, tracking, planning and accurately forecasting, spend on Central Operations and Data Centre Operations projects. The role is responsible in supporting the effective management of budgets (CapEx and OpEx), spend management, governance processes, month end reporting, and ensuring funding is available for operational activities to ensure continuity. The role is also responsible for reporting development and must have experience in modelling, data manipulation and ability to ‘think out of the box’. Capabilities in dashboarding (e.g. PowerBI, or excel based) is preferred.


Responsibilities

  • Understand and clarify the business goals and objectives behind the project
  • Agree on all appropriate analysis activities, including the detailed output documentation required
  • Provide input to benefits and solution identification and determines key issues, risks and contingencies
  • Accurately assess and effectively communicate the impact of business, operational and technical change to stakeholders
  • Engage with stakeholders to obtain input and commitment to change
  • Develops reviews and critiques requirements for projects and/or workstreams
  • Identified and manages the requirements throughout the project life cycle
  • Secure funding for project initiatives through the organization’s governance processes
  • Coordination with all requestors to ensure POs are raised and approved on time and in the correct manner.
  • Analyse PO and PO lines on a quarterly basis and close unwanted POs\PO lines.
  • Provide quality control on all Purchase Orders prior to requests being generated, checking payment amounts and terms are in line with the Master Service Agreement and/or subsequent Amendments/Order Forms.
  • Take the lead to resolve any issues regarding PO’s, receipting and payments with AP team.
  • Maintain monthly reporting to monitor potential budget overruns and initiate mitigating actions.
  • Third party financial relationship management, building a good rapport with all financial departments both internally and externally.
  • Provide assistance and guidance for the development of automations and efficiencies related to current business processes.
  • Monitor contingent labour resource requirements and ensuring budget approvals are on time and contracts are extended seamlessly
  • Own and manage internal communications and alignments for governance forums and budget cycles
  • Work with the assigned manager to identify the need for the introduction of new business processes and updates to existing processes
  • Assist in developing dashboards for inclusion in executive reporting packs, and tracking of key financial metrics
