The Solutions Engineer (SE) is the technical voice of the PriceSpider and Hatch Sales organization. Possessing an unrivaled knowledge of the PriceSpider and Hatch solution catalog and internal systems, along with a knack for creative problem solving, the Solutions Engineer works alongside the Account Executive (AE) and Customer Success (CSM) teams to drive the successful onboarding of new clients and their subsequent growth within the PriceSpider platform.
Essential Function amp; Responsibilities:
- Be PriceSpider’s Technical Subject Matter Expert, able to deliver an in-depth overview of PriceSpider’s technical architecture and product capabilities to a variety of audiences
- Participate in sales calls and meetings with both current and prospective clients, demonstrating the power of PriceSpider’s solutions using data-driven insights, clear and engaging presentations, and a consultative approach to the sales process.
- Work with the PriceSpider Implementation and Support organizations to ensure the intended solution is the delivered solution
- Perform requirement-gathering and discovery; navigate conversations regarding new and interesting use cases for PriceSpider solutions and data. Be comfortable in the unknown.
- Provide feedback to the PriceSpider Product team from the client’s perspective as collected through the sales, renewal, and growth processes.
- Take the lead role in data-transfer and analytics discussions; aligning client content and requirements with PriceSpider capabilities (and vice versa).
- Assist with RFI/RFP inquiries and technical vendor assessment
Requirements
- 3 - 5 years of experience in a customer-facing, technical Sales role (preferably SaaS)
- 3 - 5 years of experience working with digital marketing or ecommerce teams of major brands in the European market
- The ability, temperament, and willpower to educate non-technical users on technical concepts and systems
- Can-do attitude with a demonstrated ability to get things done under minimal supervision and drive results across cross-functional teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, solid presentation skills (both in-person and online), and proven ability to self-organize and strategically prioritize assignments
- Strong critical thinker and problem solver; quick-thinking with a storyteller’s touch
- Professional experience in at least one of the following technical fields:
- Website technology (JavaScript, HTML, CSS, CDN, API, etc.) and web design concepts
- Data analysis/visualization using tools such as Looker, Google Data Studio, PowerBI, or Tableau. Functional experience with relational databases is a plus.
- Website analytics, digital marketing technologies, or SEO
