Who You Are
The Director of Strategy and Business Operations will play a key role in helping execute the mission of the Strategy and Business Operations department; to ensure that Inspectorio’s vision is executed, operationalized, and scaled. This role will work report to the EVP of Strategy and Business Operations, and work directly with the CEO. This is a cross-functional role that will manage 2-3 strategic, high priority projects and initiatives at any given time. The initiatives will have a key focus on ensuring we are scaling effectively in the context of rapid growth and driving operational excellence within and across partner departments. This includes setting up, maintaining, and scaling goals and planning frameworks, partnering with departments to setup KPIs and objectives connected to the overall company strategy, helping define clear areas of responsibility, incubating new functions and teams, optimizing Org Design and architecture of the company, and maintaining the highest levels of operational excellence across Inspectorio.
What you'll do
- Responsible for the success of 2-3 high priority, cross-functional initiatives at any given moment. For example, market entries, pricing and packaging projects, incubation of a new team/function, important communications, and organizational realignments
- Fill in gaps in other parts of the business when there are short-term vacancies or a lack of relevant skills or capacity
- Collaborate cross-functionally with senior and Exec counterparts throughout the business
- Identify opportunities to improve business efficiency and make changes to improve the business
- Prepare materials (documents, decks) for the EVP and the CEO
- Translate practical needs into technical and/or business requirements
- Execute on projects and ongoing assignments for the EVP and/or CEO
- Demonstrate Inspectorio’s values in all work (Excellence, Autonomy, Courage, Humbleness)
- Partner with the Business Systems and Business Intelligence teams to help departments setup, monitor, and drive improvements with key KPIs connected to the company strategy
Requirements
- 8+ years of work experience. Ideally, 4+ years experience in high growth startup environments. SaaS experience is a plus.
- Track record of leadership independent of role
- Ability to work collaboratively and drive results with senior and Executive leadership
- Strategic and operational work experience
- Detail-oriented forward thinker
- Excellent written, verbal, and technical communicator
- Experience making data-driven decisions
- Able to manage multiple tasks with competing timelines and deliverables
- History of working cross-functionally to move projects forward
- Evidence of success in leading key business initiatives. Demonstrated ability to take a project from ideation through to implementation
- Experience at a strategy consulting firm and/or working across multiple functions at a fast-growing company
- Familiarity with the industry (supply chain) is a plus
