Digital Container Shipping Association (DCSA), is a not-for-profit, independent organization, established in 2019 by several of the largest container shipping companies. DCSAs mission is to be the de facto standards body for the industry, setting the technological foundation for interoperable data and technology products. Together with our member carriers, DCSA creates vendor neutral, technology agnostic, standards for IT and non-competitive business practices. By working towards widespread adoption of these standards, our aim is to move the industry forward in terms of customer experience, efficiency and sustainability. With many standards developed, we now move beyond standards and have transformed to a product organization.
DCSA Product organization
The DCSA product organization is organized in three value streams, based on DCSA and industry priorities: Digital Trade, Asset Productivity and Cargo Visibility. We are looking for a Value Stream Owner for Asset Productivity amp; Cargo Visibility combined.
As a value stream owner at DCSA, it is your responsibility to lead, enable and support the ocean freight industry to reduce carbon emissions with 8,1 million metric tonnes of CO2 and realize operational efficiencies of at least 5% (for vessels and equipment) within the next 5 years. You will lead the product teams and functionally steer the shared IT and Marketing resources for you domain. Next to this, you will define and execute the product strategy and roadmap and support the team to drive the industry-wide adoption of our Track and Trace standards and API. Beyond this you will also lead the development of a Operational Vessel Schedule hub and Just in Time message hub. Although we will remain a not-for-profit organization, we do envision generating revenues with the mentioned data hubs.
You are the driver of big change, and work as an evangelist for broader digital transformation of this industry and this challenge should not be taken lightly. This is about dreaming big, creating coalitions of the willing, evangelize within the ecosystem and translating ambition into concrete strategies allowing us to prove vast value. Requirements
- Senior management experience (crossing between business, data and technology)
- Adaptive and growth mindset

- Initiator of change in complex organizations
- Political sensitivity amp; extensive stakeholder management skills
