Finance Controller - Formulations Business

The Position

To control and steer the economic and financial performance of the Business Unit and the relevant PMC's, from an economic and financial point of view. This for past (reporting), today and future (forecasting). Safeguard the realization of the BU strategy by managing, monitoring and controlling the financial processes of the BU, PMC(‘s) and CMOs (Contract Manufacturing Organizations). Monitor within the Group/BU strategy, the Centrient and BU Famp;C policies and the Centrient requirements and guidelines. Act as a business partner and be the navigator of the Business.

The main activities and responsibilities

• Financial Control amp; Accounting: Strong financial control, IFRS compliance. Systems and processes for standardized information and reports. Processes and systems meet control requirements.

• Support strategic and operational decision making: Provide financial analysis, maintain and update business cases. Set-up Strategic Business Cases e.g. for Merger amp; Acquisitions.

• IT related business topics: translate IT Business requirements into action plan (linking pin between IT and the Business) and improve MIS systems.
• Financial performance: Establish, monitor and report financial KPIs and targets.
• Financial management reporting: Manage the annual/monthly planning cycle.
• Monitor budgeted and actual performance, financial progress and forecasts.
• Implement amp; monitor working capital / cash management improvement.
• Actively deliver/monitor on potential profit improvements and support/advice on investments, acquisitions and divestments and participate in negotiations.
• Focus on continues improvements for processes and activities.
• Owner of risk management and establish/ monitor mitigating actions.
• Assess financial performance of customers, products, manufacturing site and CMO contracts.
• Delivering the year end financials and financials for Audits.
• Ensure standard working processes and systems, meet legal, SHE and Centrient requirements.

The Ideal Candidate

• Academic level degree or equivalent in Business Economics and/or Finance amp; Control.

• Minimum 6 years relevant experience in Business Controlling or equivalent.
• Pharma industry experience, strongly preferred.
