Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Senior UI/UX Designer to join our Eindhoven office. Are you a highly organized designer, technically proficient, and an elegant communicator? What you will do?

Our designers play a crucial role in the development of the platform and the product. The position has high visibility both internally and externally and will require interaction with many stakeholders. They are involved, respected and challenged daily. The Senior UI/UX Designer will drive improvements in the overall end-to-end user experience - from the big picture (owning the overall user experience and consistency across an entire product) down to specifics of UI layout for a feature or service flow. You will also act as a mentor and support other design colleagues in their professional growth.


Your main tasks:

  • You will understand, analyse and solve design problems through UX deliverables such as storyboards, wireframes, flowcharts, and UI deliverables such as prototypes and high fidelity designs.
  • You will conduct user research to understand how people currently use the product or service and identify potential problems that users may encounter.
  • You will ensure the layout, composition, and information architecture for products and product features to ensure that underlying functionality is exposed in a clear and consistent manner across all devices.
  • You will contribute to the development of the design system, optimising the use of standardised components to speed up development and develop a consistent user experience.
  • You will maintain all UX templates, documentation, assets, personas, design mockups, user flows, navigational maps and experience documentation for assigned projects.
  • You will conduct usability tests to identify any problems with the design and make recommendations for improvement.
  • You will defining user and process flows, site structures and site maps.
  • You will conduct research through a variety of means to develop a deep understanding of users, the market, customers, and trends.

Requirements

Who are you?

You are pragmatic and straight-talking, while also being a team player who loves a collaborative goal. You have excellent communication skills and you are an intelligent problem solver. You have attention to detail and care for producing polished work.

Required:

  • You have 7+ years’ experience in digital product design, UI or UX roles, with generalist experience across design specialisms.
  • You have a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
  • You are experienced with end to end design for complex applications such as PaaS, B2B enterprise software or two-sided marketplaces.
  • You have strong experience with building design components, setting design patterns, and constructing a design system as part of a long-term design strategy.
  • You have experience using quantitative and qualitative research to inform design iteration.
  • You have previous experience designing for both web and mobile applications.
  • You are expert in the use of wireframing, prototyping and design support tools such as Figma (preferred), Useberry, Balsamiq, Axure.
  • You have advanced English skills, other European languages are advantageous.
