General Manager - Veldhoven, The Netherlands -Interim position-


Have you got excellent experience dealing with 3PL? Do you have excellent proven leadership, coaching/ mentoring, skills and experience of warehouse operations and systems? Are you looking for a new challenge in 2023 where you can manage our people and operations to ensure we have an engaged, productive team?

We are looking for an experienced logistics manager who is focused on customers and our people to drive forward our rapidly expanding business.

As a General Manager you will have oversight and responsibility for security, safe working practices including maintenance within the facility and equipment. You will be the main contact for key stakeholders, contractors and suppliers. You will be an ambassador for best practice including adherence to HR processes, company regulations and ensuring compliance metrics are met to ensure best practice and safeguarding for all our colleagues.

You will be joining and leading a strong and dynamic team in the Eindhoven region (Veldhoven).

We are looking for a focused, dedicated professional with lots of enthusiasm with the drive to learn and succeed and a Can Do attitude. As well as having the responsibility for your site the role will involve infrequent travelling between countries to support other locations when required.

The goal is to contribute to sustaining and growing our business to achieve long-term success.

We are a young technology led ecommerce fulfilment company, focused on helping online sellers grow their business by providing global fulfilment, we are VC funded and continue to grow at a rapid pace with current sites in Europe of Netherlands, Spain and Germany and we will be expanding into further countries in 2023.


Key responsibilities for the General Manager:

  • To oversee all site processes (Sales, Client implementations, onboarding, hub design) to ensure client experience from onboarding and beyond is exceptional.
  • Manage all storage infrastructure as hubs, pallet racking, MHE, warehouse conditions, secure hubs etc,
  • Responsible to maintain all compliance licenses including food and drink, Hamp;S and to be measured on Internal and external audits.
  • To manage local Logistics, carrier relationships and to ensure optimal performance.
  • Manage all peaks and promotions with the correct resource needed.
  • Ability to manage and motivate teams, ensuring that all teams use the standard processes and work to maximum efficiency.
  • Standardised KPI reporting Daily and Weekly.
  • The ability to look at forecasts and trends and implement change management.
  • Ensuring all customer requirements are met and that customer expectations are continually met / exceeded.
  • Promote and harness the Huboo culture, encouraging high performing employees through empowerment and coaching.
  • Regular Service meetings with suppliers and support services to ensure budgets are adhere to.

Requirements

Experience and skills needed for the General Manager:

  • Effectively running fast paced operations with client focus.
  • Experience with 3PL
  • Proven experience leading effective and efficient operations.
  • Provide examples of Continuous Improvement Methodology in previous roles
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Warehouse and Logistics management roles.
  • Demonstratable coaching and mentoring skills.
  • An ability to interact and collaborate effectively with other parts of our global organisation.
  • Proactive and Reactive management Skills.
  • A people focused individual that ensures plans are in place to make the operation a great place to work.
