The Role

As we continue to grow our Public Affairs offering, we are looking for a consultant at Account Director-Director level to join our Netherlands business. Reporting to the CEO, this position will play a key role in delivering high-quality, strategic advice and support to our clients in the areas of Public Affairs, Corporate Communications and Crisis amp; Issues.

You will work closely with our team of experienced professionals to provide guidance and support on complex issues and projects.

Your role will include building and maintaining relationships with key client stakeholders and provide strategic counsel to clients on policy issues and advocacy strategies. Your work will be varied and impactful as you move smoothly between strategy, concept development and implementation.

What you’ll do as you move with us:

  • Interpret developments in the media and political agenda quickly and clearly for (international) colleagues and clients. Helping them to oversee and understand the (local) political and social playing field.
  • conduct research and analysis to support the development of strategic recommendations on policy issues, regulatory developments, and political trends that impact clients’ businesses.
  • build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including policymakers, regulators, and industry leaders.
  • guide stakeholder discussions and interviews, provide training and write opinion pieces and blogs.
  • develop strategies and campaigns to help clients achieve their business objectives.
  • provide strategic advice to clients on advocacy, stakeholder engagement and crisis communications.
  • contribute to pitches and new business proposals.
  • steer projects, manage budgets and keep clients well informed of progress.

Experience that contributes to your success:

  • Considerable experience in public affairs, corporate communications, policy, or government relations preferably in an agency environment
  • Strong knowledge of the Dutch political landscape and regulatory environment
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing public affairs strategies and campaigns.
  • Excellent communications and stakeholder management skills
  • Fluency in English and Dutch, both verbal and written
  • Desire to work in a diverse and inclusive organization as an active participant in culture initiatives.
