Principal Accountabilities
- Implement and improve the DevOps and SRE practices on the project.
- Provide engineering, design, implementation, customization, documentation and operational support DevOps environment.
- Support and development of infrastructure in public clouds.
- Deploy, maintain and uphold DevOps architecture standards and services.
- Improve continuous integration and delivery systems.
- Implementation of automated testing and vulnerability checking of code and images.
- Building continuous integration and continuous delivery of applications to test and production environments.
- Responsible for providing basic security on the project. Implementation of RBAC, network ACLs, firewalls.
- Troubleshooting complex incidents related to finding bottlenecks or performance problems.
- Updating of configuration management tools, code, and modules for the purpose of streamlining implementation and supportability.
- Implementation of solutions for monitoring/alerting infrastructure and business applications.
Requirements
- 5 + years of experience spanning at least two IT disciplines, including technical architecture, application development, or operations.
- 2+ years of experience managing DevOps practices.
- Strong understanding of application development methodologies.
- Working knowledge of enterprise data center technologies including storage platforms, network switching, and security infrastructure within a virtualized data center.
- Familiarity with a broad portfolio of GCP (or AWS) infrastructure tools (Compute engine, GKE, Cloud Storage, VPC, Managed databases, Load Balancers) and experience with cloud infrastructure management and automation technologies (terraform).
- Scripting (shell, python and etc) skills.
- Continuous integration tools (GitLab CI).
- Working experience with Databases (MySQL/MariaDB/MongoDB).
- Experience with queues and event streaming systems (kafka/rabbitmq)
- Knowledge of secret management systems (hashicorp vault or others).
- Experience with monitoring systems (Prometheus, Grafana).
- Knowledge of Logging systems (ElasticSearch/Kibana/Filebeat)
- Knowledge of Metrics/Alerting systems (Prometheus/Grafana/Alertmanager).
- Strong knowledge and hand-on experience of Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience optimizing applications, both stand-alone and in distributed systems to maximize performance.
- Possess a strong grasp of automation tools (ansible or others).
- Experience maintaining an infrastructure and ensuring stability while adding new features
- Excellent documentation skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure.
