Fantastic opportunity for a Business Development Representative to be an early member of a sales team at a VC-funded, remote-first start-up focussed on building the future of multi-country employment amp; payroll.

Boundless was born from the belief that people should have the freedom to shape their work lives without forfeiting their right to secure employment. We started by looking for ways to offer compliance across borders. It's what our founders had all struggled with in previous teams, but along the way, we figured that this is about so much more than ticking compliance boxes and not getting in trouble. We have since been raising the bar of what great remote employment looks like. For each new country where we establish our employment amp; payroll infrastructure and build internal expertise, we try to set the gold standard of remote employment. Currently, 19 people across 6 countries are working hard to make that a reality and help democratise access to well-paid jobs worldwide. We’re looking for a bright, fast learning and energetic ‘Business Development Representative’ to take a leading role in growing our number of clients. Our sales team is in the early stages of its development, and this is a team that is expected to expand significantly over a short time, offering speedy career progression for the right person.

We are targeting that our first BDR will progress to being an Account Executive within 6-9 months, so this is a great opportunity to accelerate your sales career.


The Role

As our Business Development Representative you will be in a customer facing role, with a number of areas of focus:

Key focus areas:

  • Assisting our sales team with sales outbound campaigns
  • Developing our lists of sales targets
  • Outbound hunting for prospects
  • Qualifying inbound leads across multiple marketing channels
  • Working closely with and providing feedback to the marketing team on inbound leads

Continuous improvements:

  • Ensuring our CRM is kept up to date, and that prospects are being engaged with
  • Looking for ways to further automate our sales processes, to save you and the team time
  • Learning about our sales cycle and process, with the goal of leading the sales call as a sales Account Executive or other roles that may interest you in the Boundless team
  • Logging your learnings, to help us onboard new hires in the future

Strategic:

  • Working closely with our Sales Manager, as we work with external partners amp; advisors on sales targeting strategies
  • Advising on feedback from the market to our Country Expansion amp; Product Teams to ensure our roadmap is best aligned with customer demand, and to our Marketing Team, to ensure we’re producing content amp; providing tools that offer real value to customers amp; sales prospects

Requirements

We are looking for someone with:

  • Great communication skills
  • A natural people person, who is not afraid to start a conversation with new people and ask the right questions
  • A strategic mindset: someone who is not only focussed on revenue targets, but who also understands the value of providing a great experience to customers amp; sales prospects
  • Circa 2 or more years experience. We’re open to people who have worked in other departments but are now looking to move into a sales role
  • Ambitious! Someone who wants to be part of an early scaling team and be excited at the prospect of an accelerated career path

Not essential, but a bonus if you have any of the following:

  • Some customer facing experience or BDR experience is a plus!
  • Experience managing a pipeline, sourcing leads or compiling lists of prospects
  • Relationships with people in Finance, Operations and/or HR departments (particularly across numerous companies outside of those you worked for)
  • Experience working remotely with teams that favour asynchronous communication
  • An understanding of how to use a CRM and log data correctly
  • Some experience using email lead gen or other lead gen tools
  • Some understanding of the issues around international employment and scaling
  • Exposure to a venture-backed startup / early stage business
